Turning Breakdown Into Breakthrough: The 3-Step Reset
Most people waste their breakdowns—scrolling, numbing, or pushing harder. But what if your breakdown was actually your breakthrough waiting to happen?
On Sunday, I shared how my breakdown in the car became the start of a reset. But the truth is—the mess shows up in all of my worlds.
One day, I went from helping a student with a fever at school… to rushing home and answering business emails late into the night. Then, the very next morning, I walked into my role in medical withdrawal management—on the phone with a family in crisis, trying to hold space for their pain.
That’s the kind of mess I live in across my roles as a school nurse, an entrepreneur, and in medical withdrawal management.
Each role pulls me in a different direction, and some days it feels like I have nothing left to give. That’s when I realized: If I don’t pause and reset, I can’t pour into anyone.
The Message in the Mess
Here’s the FOMO: if you skip the message, you repeat the mess. Same stress. Same burnout. Same cycle.
Breakdowns aren’t failure—they’re feedback. They whisper:
• You’re moving too fast
• You’ve forgotten yourself
• Your body needs you to stop and breathe
Don’t let your breakdowns go to waste. The moment you pause and listen is the moment you step into your breakthrough.
The 3-Step Reset Ritual
That’s why I created The Lip Ritual. It’s a 30-second nervous system reset you can carry anywhere.

Notice the Mess – Name it. “I’m overwhelmed. I’m tired.”

Name the Message – Ask: What is this moment teaching me?
